Scientific Programme

The session planner allows you to search the entire scientific program and select sessions to create your individual itinerary. Add your personal appointments to the planner, export your schedule into your calendar or simply print it out.

The programme planning is still in progress. Updates will be posted regularly.

This service has been made possible with the aid of funding from Novartis Pharmaceuticals. The company has had no influence on the content of the programme.

How to use the session planner:

  • In order to create your personal itinerary, you will need to create a user profile first. You can find the “Sign in” button on the upper right side.
  • If you wish to see the session’s details, simply click on the session. A pop-up-window will open.
  • You can add sessions to your personal itinerary, if you click on „Add session to favourites“. By clicking the book icon in the navigation bar, you can see all your added favourite sessions. Favourites can also be exported as a pdf file.
  • In the right column you can filter the program by day and/or session types.
  • Via the search tool in the right column, you can search for topics or persons.

Programme changes

The organizer reserves the right to make changes if necessary. No full or partial refunds are made to the attendees in the event of cancellations or other changes in the programme. Please note that changes will be posted at the registration desk and at the entrance of the session halls. Participants will be informed about the changes.

The official Congress app is now available. Download the Congress programme to your mobile device (iPhone, Android). View the day-by-day programme, select sessions and create your own agenda. Just download the “WCM 2017” app from the Apple Store or at Google Play.

Instructions for Poster Presentations

Poster presenters will be asked to have their posters on display on mezzanine level of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Poster Preparation

Posters shall be prepared in DINA0 size (841 × 1189 mm), portrait format, in English language. Posters should be mounted on 18 October latest by 1:45 pm and will remain accessible to all attendees until 21 October until 12 pm.

Please note remaining posters cannot be stored and will be disposed of.

Speakers Presentation Centre

The speakers presentation centre is located in room M10 on the mezzanine level. Speakers are kindly asked to hand in their presentations at least 90 minutes before their lecture. Speakers giving a presentation during the first time slot in the morning are asked to hand in their slides the day before. All rooms are equipped for the presentation of PowerPoint files (data projection).

Technical Requirements

The speakers presentation centre and all meeting rooms will be equipped with Microsoft Windows based PCs. Macintosh presentations (PowerPoint and Keynote) will be converted to Windows PowerPoint presentations. Mac users should avoid using exclusive Mac fonts and animations while creating their presentations. For a smooth operation of all sessions, speakers are requested to bring their presentation to the speakers presentation centre before the corresponding session starts. The speakers presentation centre is crucial to ensure that the presentation is displayed properly, especially if it contains videos and/or animations. Please prepare your PowerPoint presentations with an aspect ratio of 16:9. To this end, please pay particular attention to fonts, images and animations as well as audio and video clips whilst reviewing your presentation and make sure that they appear as expected. Please note that internet access will not be available during your presentation.
