How to Get There

Brisbane´s International and Domestic Airports have recently been recognised as the world’s most efficient and customer-focused privatised airports by the International . It is located approximately 20 minutes drive (13 km) from Brisbane’s CBD. Whether you are an international or interstate visitor, there is a large range of accessible, reliable and cheap transportation options, including shuttle buses, Airtrain, taxis, car rental and hotel transfers to and from the CBD. Handy parking is also situated at both the International and Domestic Terminals with various parking options to suit your travel plans.

Here are some options you will find useful when travelling to and from the airport:

Airtrain

Catch the Airtrain from Brisbane’s international and domestic airports to South Brisbane Station, the Convention Centre is then an 8 minute walk away.
One way trip takes approximately 22 minutes, and then the Convention Centre is another short 8-minutes’ walk away. Airtrain operates seven days a week. Trains depart every 15-minutes’ in peak periods and depart every 30-minutes’ in non-peak, Monday to Friday. All services on Saturday & Sunday operate every 30 minutes.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses are a convenient, fast and comfortable way of travelling to and from the Airport.
Services from Brisbane City operate daily every 30 minutes from 5.00am to 9.00pm from Roma Street Transit Centre and door to door of all CBD hotels.
If leaving from Brisbane Airport, buses depart every 30 minutes from 5.30am to 11.00pm. All bus services meet flight departure and arrival times so you’ll always be on time. If you miss one, wait just half an hour for the next service.

Taxi

The venue is a 20 minute taxi ride from Brisbane Airport. Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street, and there is a taxi drop off located at the Grey Street main entrance. To book, please contact or .

There are two train stations within a five-minute walk away from the Convention Centre. These are: South Bank Station, accessed from Tribune Street and South Brisbane Railway Station, adjacent to the Convention Centre in Grey Street.

Bus Services

South Bank is serviced by two bus stations: The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station corner of Colchester and Tribune Streets. Furthermore, a free city loop bus service circles Brisbane’s central business district including South Bank.

City Cats

A popular and speedy way to travel the river. The CityCat terminal is located outside the riverside restaurants on the riverside promenade.
CityCats operate daily from 5.30am to 10.30pm.

All major car hire companies, including Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Thrifty, operate in Australia and vehicles may be hired at Brisbane Airport. Parking is available at the Congress venue.
Car Park 2 & 3 are best for Exhibition Halls and Grey Street rooms via Russell Street Walkway.
